EXPLORING HERITAGE AND CULTURE IN POLAND
APRIL 10 | 12 PM
An article about a woman’s heritage trip to Krakow piqued Myrna David’s interest in her
own roots in Poland. Having grown up with a Jewish Polish grandmother who didn’t
speak much about her past, Myrna reached out to surviving relatives and learned that
details about their family background were scant. The country hadn’t really been on her
travel bucket list, but she encouraged husband Jim McDonald to read more about the
sights there. Learning about the major cities and modern- day Polish culture was enough
to start the couple planning their trip. Join them on a visual journey of Poland that
included some personal touchstones and other excursions that far exceeded their
expectations.
