WRITING YOUR LIFE
Community Center / Brad Shurmantine
However old we may be, we are all engaged in the project of self-making, figuring
out who and why we are, and revealing that self to others. Writing can be a
powerful tool in the process. This class will be rooted in memoir writing but will
also explore how writing poetry and fiction can give voice to aspects of ourselves
we've neglected or ignored. Each class will involve writing to prompts and sharing
our writing with the kind, helpful and supportive community we will become. Bring
writing tools (notebook, pen, laptop, etc.), water bottle and growth mindset.
